Haslar Heritage Tours 2026
19th June 2026This September, visitors will once again have the opportunity to explore the fascinating history of Royal Haslar through a series of guided tours, led by the dedicated volunteers of the Haslar Heritage Group. Renowned for their enthusiasm and depth of knowledge, the group’s guides bring centuries of history to life, sharing stories of the people, events and achievements that shaped one of Britain's most important naval hospitals. The tours offer a unique chance to discover the historic buildings and grounds while learning about the site's remarkable contribution to naval medicine, military history and the local community – and its new role as a residential waterfront village.
On Friday 18th September, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th, as part of the Gosport Heritage Open Days programme, two tours a day will kick off from Grade II* Listed St Luke’s Chapel, and last around two hours, with visits to a pop-up café and shop in the Old Medical Mess, and all money raised supporting the work of Haslar Heritage Group.
The booking link to join a Haslar Heritage Group tour will be live nearer September at gosportheritage.co.uk; or for further information, visit haslarheritagegroup.co.uk
