Inaugural 'Haslar' Open Day

3rd September 2024

On Saturday 21st September we will host our first ‘Haslar’ Open Day, giving both local residents and potential homeowners an opportunity to come in and see just some of the things that make up ‘Haslar’ and the changes that have been taking place at Royal Haslar and the grounds.

Our neighbours, and partners in all things Haslar, Haslar Marina will be present to talk about the activities and facilities available at the marina. While boats and births are available, so too is training, boat charter, maintenance and dining options. The marina side The Creek is offering a Lunch Time Special for the day, £20.00 per person - anything from the Chef’s Recommendations daily menu and a drink, making it the perfect spot at which to end your visit to Haslar if attending in the morning, or to start, if visiting us after lunch. To take advantage of the offer simply quote HASLAR21. Parking is available at the Marina and free to those eating at The Creek.

Haslar Heritage Group will be present at St Luke’s Church, which will also be open, and available to answer questions and queries about the group, their activities and Royal Haslar, with Haslar books and merchandise available for purchase.

Local independent coffee roasters
Explorer Coffees are joining us, bringing the finest coffees from around the world, all locally hand roasted, to Royal Haslar. From classic Costa Rican to inhouse speciality ‘Coddiwompler’, Neil & Kay Hallsworth, both Service Veterans and active members of the Military Community, will be happy to help you find the perfect blend.
Explorer Coffee’s also offer Teas, Hot Chocolates, Coffee Products and Explorer Adventure accessories.

The Memorial Garden will be open, which is discreetly located in a quiet corner of Royal Haslar.  Veterans’ charity Shore Leave Haslar, who tend the Memorial Garden where they are also based, will be open with art and crafts made by volunteers and veterans for sale in support of Shore Leave, in addition to offering tea, coffee and homemade cakes, which can be enjoyed in gardens.

The latest show apartment Royal Haslar, located in Trinity House (the main quadrangle building) will be open, with representatives from instructed agents Fox & Sons, who will be happy to answer questions about properties for sale at Royal Haslar and provide more details.

The Haslar Open Day starts at 10am and is open until 16.00 (last entry 15.30) on Saturday 21st September.  FREE Parking is available on site, visitors should follow the signs to the designating parking areas.  We would ask visitors NOT to park near the Memorial Garden, as these spaces are for residents only. If attending with a friend for family member who has mobility issues and wishes to visit the Memorial Garden, we would ask that they be dropped near the entrance to the garden, while the driver parks the car in a designated area.
