All aboard The Lightship: Royal Haslar residents offered exclusive membership

All resident at Royal Haslar have been offered free membership to The Lightship, its unique dining and drinks destination aboard a beautifully restored 1940s lightship.

Originally named the Mary Mouse II, the vessel served as a guiding light for ships navigating the coast of Portsmouth, and is now a landmark venue welcoming visitors from both land and sea to enjoy its stylish green and white design scheme, buzzing atmosphere, moreish menu and gorgeous Solent views. 

Due to The Lightship’s marina location, at least one person in a party visiting The Lightship needs to be a member. While an individual membership usually costs £10 for a year’s access, Royal Haslar residents can join free of charge, their personal keycard allowing them to host up to 10 guests (do leave your stilettos behind: the marina is decked).

Enjoy signature cocktails on the top deck, listen to polished jazz performances on sunny Sunday afternoons, and in the evening head below for a more intimate dining experience, with freshly caught seafood and locally produced wines a speciality.
